Host an Event with Bare Marriage!
Here at Bare Marriage, we want our advice to be:
Healthy
We believe that as Christians, it’s not enough for our advice to sound “nice” or fit with the status quo. We believe that in order for advice to be Christian, it must not harm.
Evidence-Based
We have conducted peer-reviewed research and independent studies totalling over 40,000 respondents to discover what advice helps and what does more harm than good.
Biblical
Our advice is rooted in Scripture, because Scripture and science go hand in hand! As Christians, we believe that our advice must go beyond proof texts and deeper into the sanctifying work of Christ.
Our Mission
We believe that Jesus meant it when he said that a good tree will bear good fruit. We believe that theology that leads to terrible outcomes is simply not of Jesus. Our mission is to change the conversation in the evangelical church about marriage and sex so that it better reflects the heart of God.
Events We Offer
(Note: Due to issues with immigration, we are unable to speak in person in the United States right now, but we are more than willing to accommodate with zoom or other streamed events!)

Sheila's "Real Talk" Event
(Previously known as “Girl Talk”)
“Real Talk” is a down-to-earth, humourous event for women incorporating data from our surveys to help the women in your congregation understand God’s design for sex, where we so often go wrong, and how to recover what God intended.

Marriage Events
We offer evening events as well as all-day conferences to bless your congregation with marriage teaching that, with research and Scripture, equips them to create the marriage they want, not one that they just tolerate!

Continuing Education
We are able to offer educational training sessions for pastors, pelvic floor therapists, counsellors, college classes, and more on the results of our research and how they practically apply to many areas of study and occupation, especially as they relate to ministry.
Let's take a look at the numbers:
%

Of Christian women we surveyed believed at least one toxic teaching common in church circles.
%

Of sexless marriages can be explained by one of three simple reasons, all of which are guaranteed to be experienced by the couples in your church.

People have had their lives changed by The Great Sex Rescue, with that number growing every day.
"Keith and Sheila have a tremendous gift of communicating a broad range relevant Christian subjects in a creative and clear way. They are engaging and energizing. I would highly recommend them as speakers for your church and ministry."
– Pastor Peter Kenniphaas, Ferndale Bible Church, Peterborough, Ontario

What To Expect
Dynamic and Humourous Tone
Hey, we talk about sex a lot. You can’t do that and take yourself too seriously! Let’s have some fun while still presenting knowledge.
No Pat Answers
Sex, marriage, and relationships are nuanced and complicated issues and deserve more than just a pithy catchphrase or pat answer–let’s dig deeper.
Professional Experience
Sheila has over 20 years of speaking experience, and her husband Keith joined her on the stage for the first time 15 years ago! Rebecca has been a public speaker since she was only twenty two, and has 8 years of experience herself. The three of them are highly experienced in both pre-planned events as well as live, unscripted Q&As and panel discussions.

“Real Talk” with Sheila Wray Gregoire
Would you like a unique women’s event that will strengthen the marriages in your church, make your women laugh– but also serve as an effective outreach tool?
You need Real Talk, Sheila Wray Gregoire’s signature event providing straight talk on marriage and sex, with a lot of humour thrown in.
An event with a track record of having better than average attendance for churches, women will flock to hear the message about why God designed sex the way He did–and how we can make it great in marriage physically, emotionally, AND spiritually.
Based on her best-selling book, The Great Sex Rescue, Sheila shares her research on what is actually happening in marriage today, and insights into how God wants sex to be something that binds us together, not tears us apart.
She encourages the audience to change their attitude–to realize that sex was not created just for MEN, but for WOMEN, too. And that a great sex life isn’t about just doing it enough, but rather discovering God’s design for mutual, intimate, pleasurable sex.
And Sheila also addresses hot button topics like low male libido, pornography, and even toys (tastefully, of course).
- Churches need to strengthen marriages. Marriages are falling apart in the church and not just in the wider culture. Yet pastors often have a hard time addressing certain areas of marriage from the pulpit, because children are present, or single adults, or widows. Here’s a chance to address sex, a vital part of marriage, in an accessible and easy way.
- Younger women are more likely to want to come out. And since younger women are often the hardest to reach with women’s events, this can be a bridge for some of the women who often are isolated and not fully integrated into the church community.
- Your church is seen as relevant–talking about the issues that people are dealing with on a daily basis.

The night consists of two parts, with a chance for a break so couples can socialize, grab something to eat, and hear about the church’s other programs.
A Q&A, totally unscripted, often provides the funniest parts of the evening, and helps pastors gauge where their congregation is at and what issues they most frequently face.

Continuing Education Opportunities
We want to speak to your college or professional group!
Sheila Wray Gregoire and the Bare Marriage team have conducted ground-breaking work into teachings in the evangelical church around sex and marriage, research that has upended the self-hep evangelical industry
Their findings have implications for how counselors, pastors, and pelvic floor physiotherapists practice, and for how university professors teach on sex and marriage.
Sheila loves sharing her findings, and how they relate to different professional situations. Via Zoom, she can provide:
- A one or two hour continuing education class, such as a lunchtime Zoom event, for your professional group, summarizing the findings and their implications for your specialty.
- A Zoom guest lecture for your university class
- An all day continuing education class delving deeper into the implications of her findings, and how they relate to other peer reviewed research in the field. She can provide practical steps professionals can take to add this information to current practice patterns, providing Q&A sessions as well.
- A workshop at your professional conference.
Sheila has done an all-day Zoom events for the Alberta Christian Counselors group, as well as shorter presentations for counselors in Manitoba, North Carolina, and Georgia, along with numerous classroom lectures at Christian universities around North America.
Every Christian university needs this information!
